The association have compiled a video to complement the W. H. Allen Sons & Co. Ltd display at The Higgins Museum, Bedford.
The video is called “Hard Graft” and is intended to give an insight into what life was like for the hard working tradespeople of the company. The video uses association archive images to illustrate the efforts and conditions workers experienced, from the early days of Allens in the 1880s thought to when the Queens Engineering Works, Bedford closed in 2001.
